Sex and Football

Sup, Schneckens!
There was a choice that I had to make this evening, in regards to what to blog about: Either how the life we 'live' is a pitiable existence, or a night at a comedy club. I chose option 2 because that seemed like the fun way to go; I don't really like crying when blogging, to be honest.

So. Comedy. That's fun, huh? It was, I cannot even deny it! I haven't laughed like that in ages, and it was so nice to spend the night with my friends: Josephine and Ruby F. We attended The Rose And Crown pub, where there was the annual (I think it is) Red Imp Comedy Club. For those who don't know what this si, it is a comedy show run by Susan Murray (); who was one of the acts last night. I can't say I had heard of her prior to the night, but I am so damn happy that I discovered her because her razor sharp wit and brilliant comparison between sex and football was priceless. I can't remember the line exactly, but she definitely hit the nail on the head when she mentioned sex and football, as well as the good ol' Eastern Europeans! Utterly funny! Do people still use the word 'utterly' when not describing butter? I have no idea..

Then afterwards was the headline act, Russell Kane. I have been a fan of his work for years now and it was amazing to finally see him live. It was also pretty amazing to discover that he lived in Walthamstow for 2 years. Huh. Russell was his usual quick, excitable self and it was a wonderful experience to be apart of. What was even more brilliant was that he even through in a quick life lesson; an array of brilliant accents (including a Russian one - there was a Russian male in the audience! YES!) and a Nicole Scherzinger impression. It was a truly a great set.

So that was my night, and it was nice to have a night where I wasn't over thinking things and I was able to laugh. At the moment, a lot of things are going on, and I'm finding things incredibly hard right now. Hehe, hard. Yes, that is one of them. Why is life hard? Plus, I got a few prom issues and at this current moment in time, I don't know if I'm actually going to go... But that can be our little secret.
