Happy Friday, Schneckens!
It feels so strange today; I had a lie in and I feel quite good knowing that I don't have to open a History text book, or annotate a script today. Crikey, I feel somewhat lost. For months these actions have been the basis of my life and now I don't have to do it. I can do what I want - within reason, of course. Normally, I would be writing some notes about the origins of the Cold War right about now, or something History related, but now I'm reading a somewhat raunchy book and one male pops into my head when I read it. Paolo Nutini. This is a sublime feeling.
Late last night, I went on my Facebook, and a friend of mine; Tyrell Charles, shared a video from his YouTube channel. Regular viewers of the blog, or those who have tuned in for certain posts will know who Tyrell is. He is the talented chap who recorded my rap for Zoella and has done a lot of directing, filming and promotional stuff over a series of time. I want to share this video that he recently uploaded:
I believe this is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who wants to make something in this world, and I for one will be taking advantage of his offer. But I won't just take advantage of him and just dump him aside, gawd no! I will use this blog to help him in anyway possible because it benefits everyone. It benefits the both of us because we are getting our work out there, and it benefits you, my dear viewer, because we are providing you with an array of wonderful opportunities.
I don't know what this summer holds, but I know that I will be taking complete advantage of it. For starters, remember my collection of short stories: 'No Soul To Sell'? Well, I'm going to be doing the final edits and for the first time ever, I will look for a publisher, and I need all the support I can get. This book, as much as it was a form of closure, was made for you. It's a book that has universal themes that anyone can relate to; any age, gender, race etc etc. Plus, I would love to use my summer to do some acting work. Drama is my passion and I want to keep doing that. Also, I'm looking for any reviewing jobs, so if you want something reviewed, or written about, I'm here, ready for you!
Other opportunities I want to discuss briefly is Zoe Power's 'Power To India'. If you remember, I did a post about this a few months ago: http://thedailycomplains.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/power-to-india.html Well her endeavours are still continuing and she still needs all your support. I have spent two years with this woman in Drama, and I can honestly say she is one of the most talented women and is fully taking advantage of the opportunities that life has thrown at her. A true example for all of us. Another mention is to Henry Albert, another talented soul I met in Drama. He has his own music out there and believe it or not, it's pretty good - and I'm not being one-sided, or anything. Check it out for yourselves: https://soundcloud.com/henryalbertmusic/ I'm sure he'll feature on an upcoming Music Monday, and a lot of you will realise what a talent this guy possess.
Okay, so that's all I'm going to ramble on about today. Do check out these people mentioned, and those around you. Also, do something for yourself - you all have a talent that could easily be shared in this world. Networking, people! So today we will unlock that metaphorical door and we will follow the path that best suits us. So have a lovely day and I'll see you tomorrow!
P.S. Tomorrow is my 200th blog post. Just sayin'...
